Million for a Morgue: The Corpse Auctions
Fancy being immortalised as a character in a novel by Jeffery Deaver, Peter James, Jeff Lindsay, Tess Gerritsen, Stuart MacBride or Val McDermid? Or, perhaps better, committing someone else to a gruesome demise?
Then check out the Million for a Morgue auction.
By bidding, you will be making an enormous contribution to the advance of medical research and training in the UK by building the first morgue in the country to use the Thiel method of embalming.
The winner of each lot will have a corpse in that author’s next book named after you, or the person of your choice (with that person’s permission).
The reserve price on each lot is £500. The auction will be open until 30 September 2012 and all lots will go to whoever has made the highest bid over the reserve price on that date.
And of course you can come to our very own Million for a Morgue event, where Val and Stuart will be joined by Sue Black to discuss unique fundraising campaign set up by the University of Dundee.
