The first day of Bloody Scotland festival is devoted to writing and learning from the best minds in crime fiction writing and publishing. Run in partnership with University of Stirling, participants will spend the day in Stirling’s Tolbooth (a cultural centre housed in a former prison and court in the heart of Stirling’s old town) hearing a keynote talk from best-selling crime writer Denise Mina, learning about self-editing from agent, publisher and crime author Allan Guthrie, and learning about the art of screenwriting from Alexandra Sokoloff, crime author and former Hollywood screenwriter.

Our full day Crime Writing Masterclass, on Friday 11th September is set to be a rich and valuable experience for all taking part and we can’t wait to welcome you to Stirling’s Tolbooth for a day of discussion, inspiration and great insight into crime fiction publishing.

The day finishes with The Crime Scene, a publishing trends panel who will share vital insights into current crime fiction publishing trends.

We’re excited to announce the line-up of the panel will be:
Jo Dickinson – Publishing Director, Simon & Schuster
