Sir Ian Rankin presents: Philippe Sands

British-French lawyer and writer Philippe Sands has had a remarkable career by any standards. He has taken part in prominent trials in the highest international courts, including the cases of Pinochet, the war in former Yugoslavia, and the Rwanda genocide. He exposed torture at Guantanamo Bay and the Blair memorandum that led to the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
He is the author of more than 15 award-winning books. His latest, 38 Londres Street is part personal memoir, part historical detective work and gripping courtroom drama revealing a secret double story of mass murder. Phillippe will be in conversation with Sir Ian Rankin.
