Join us as we celebrate the opening of the 2025 festival in style with a drinks reception and the presentation of both the McIlvanney Prize for Scottish crime novel of the year and the Bloody Scotland Debut Prize. Rub shoulders with your favourite authors – some of whom may be slightly nervous as the big announcement nears – and raise a glass to the winners.
Radio and television presenter Bryan Burnett will be our master of ceremonies as we discover who follows in the footsteps of Chris Brookmyre in picking up the coveted McIlvanney Prize and who succeeds Allan Gaw as the winning debut.
