If you plan to be in Glasgow on Friday 19 July then be sure to make your way to Waterstone’s Sauchiehall street for a book signing with Gordon Brown. The event starts at 5pm – make sure you hop out of work early so that you don’t miss any of the fun!

There will of course be an opportunity to pick up Gordon’s latest novel, The Catalyst:

Craig McIntyre, ex US military turned bodyguard, has a powerful and uncontrollable affliction: his mere presence removes people’s inhibitions, transforming their darkest thoughts into action.

When a US senator sees the unique potential to create the ultimate assassin he orders a covert agency to capture Craig and Craig’s wife, Lorraine.
In an attempt to mould him into a lethal weapon, the senator has Craig drugged and tortured and forces him to witness Lorraine’s murder.

Craig escapes and, distraught at the death of his wife, he vows to kill the senator. But he has to act fast because the agency has orders to hunt him down and bring him back: dead or alive.

The Catalyst is a unique, high paced, international thriller and is Gordon Brown’s third book.

Correction: An earlier version of this post incorrectly stated that the event will be taking place in the Argyle St branch of Waterstones. This event will take place at Waterstones Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow. See the Waterstones website for further details
