As the 2015 festival comes to an end, best-selling crime writer Ann Cleeves, one of this year’s star guests, whose books inspired the BBC TV series Shetland, will join a group of visitors on an exclusive tour of Britain’s most northerly islands.
A dream holiday for crime fiction fans, Bloody Shetland with Ann Cleeves begins in historic Stirling with Ann Cleeves’ event at the festival on Sunday 13 September. The group will then be whisked away on a charter plane to a top-secret location on the magical Shetland islands where Ann Cleeves herself will join the group for a full day’s exploration of the stunning locations that inspired her famous Shetland novels.
The hit BBC series starring Douglas Henshall as island detective Jimmy Perez has already given thousands of people a flavour of the rugged beauty of Shetland and in insight into its cultural history.
